American Performance Cycle
APC Motorcycles, which stands for American Performance Cycle, started their shop in 1992, as a Harley-Davidson sales shop. Originally located in Bullhead City, Arizona, they have since moved their operations to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Robert McCaa, the founder of APC, had a knack for modifying the Harley-Davidsons into extreme choppers and soon became a big hit amongst the local Harley-Davidson and chopper enthusiast.
With their profit margins more than doubled and the growing demand for custom chopper parts, and unique, one-off choppers, APC set out to start manufacturing their own brand of exclusive choppers from the ground up, as well as production of custom Harley-Davidson bolt-ons based on their one-off designs.
By 1996, the Harley-Davidson market skyrocketed, with more and more bikers seeking their dream bikes, they turned to APC to build their motorcycles. With the growing demand for their high quality bikes and rumours of their work spreading like wildfirs through the motorcycle communities, APC needed to protect their assets and products and became APC Holdings Group L.L.C. in 1999.
At current APC's profits are increasing by 30% yearly, and due to their demand, APC started their own Motorcycle manufacturing to include an assembly line for each of their 2 lines of motorcycles.
Today, APC Motorcycles are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and their shop includes their two assembly lines, their custom Harley-Davidson bolt-ons and a state of the art machine shop complete with a CNC machine and an in house paint shop.
Rad Custom parts, APC's product division, has over 50 different and unique custom chopper parts, including the only approved air filter assembly that passes California's new 2007 emissions laws. Keeping ahead of the competition will allow APC and it's subsidiaries to continue to flourish as a custom motorcycle manufacturer well into the future.
