Founded in 1907, The Iver Johnson Company's motorcycle division was created by a business that had been producing bicycles for over 23 years. Due to the company focusing on their firearms development the Iver Johnson motorcycle operations were closed.
Today the Iver Johnson motorcycles are rare and are considered a collectable of the early American motorcycle companies although only a small amount of motorcycles are known to still exist, collectors have turned to other artefacts of the company such as catalogues and memorabilia. One such example of an Iver Johnson motorcycle can be seen at the Barber Motor sports Museum in Alabama.
