Thanassis Lefas founded Lefas Motorcycles in 1982. Lefas was an engineer who had devoted his career to improving the motorcycle design, but to his own fate his entrepreneurship skills lacked the cunningness of his engineering skills. He was a motorcycle enthusiast since an early age and he worked for many years to make improvements in motorcycles. Lefas first motorcycle was introduced in 1984, all entirely constructed and designed by Lefas himself. This superb motorcycle was intended for production but the project was soon abandoned. Thanassis Lefas died in December 2005 at the age of 53, never to have produced a motorcycle for the public market, although he had made several prototypes that had been used for racing.
