Ford is an American based automobile manufacturer that produces a wide variety of vehicles. These vehicles are sold around the world, and the company is a multinational corporation that extends beyond the borders of the country where it was founded.
The original founder of the company was Henry Ford, and the company was first introduced in 1903. Ford is now the owner of a number of different brands, and some of these are Aston Martin, Lincoln, and Jaguar.

While Ford is a multi-billion dollar company today, it started off with only $28,000 that came from 12 investors. The company was only capable of producing a few cars per day at this time, and the factory was located in Detroit, Michigan. It should be noted that Henry Ford was about forty years of age when he founded the company.

Ford was able to push through the Great Depression, which is notable because this was a difficult time for virtually everyone in the United States. The very first car to be released by the company is the Ford Motel T. While things were tough at first, Henry Ford made a number of smart moves that allowed him to bring fame to his company while becoming a legend in the process.

As of this writing, Ford comes in at number three for being the largest car company in the world, and it is only surpassed by Toyota and General Motors.
